One day the narrator is taking a stroll when he reaches the port. A mysterious box with no labels has just been unloaded and the men at the port don’t know what to do with it. A sequence of people passing by starts claiming the box for themselves: an elegant lady says that her sister has sent he a dress, the director of the wax museum says that it certainly is a statue for his museum, the doctor, the mayor, a boy, a policeman, and so on. At the end the workers at the port will decide to open it and… Everybody will leave disappointed because there’s nothing into it, what they are missing is the fascinating smell of the ocean and distant things that the box has brought them. The text is told in an extremely light and gracious tone, while the illustration made by the Catalan sculptress Meritxell Duran build a crazy, funny net of unforeseeable among all the crazy characters who appear on the scene. A funny and delightful story, which in reality is talking about what’s really important in our life.
